Telangana Intermediate results out: Girls outshine boys in both the years

In the Intermediate first year,  the pass percentage was 60.01 percent, while in second year, the pass percentage was 69.46 percent.

TSBIE results

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced the results of the first-year and second-year Intermediate exams on Wednesday, 24 April.

The results were announced in the presence of  Principal Secretary for Education Burra Venkatesham, and TSBIE Secretary Shruti Ojha.

This year, a total of 980,978 students registered for the exams. Among them, 478,718 students attempted the first-year exams, while 502,260 students sat for the second-year exams.

The pass percentage of the intermediate first-year was 60.01 percent, with 2.87 lakh students passing the exam among the 4.78 lakh who appeared.

In the Intermediate second-year, the pass percentage was 69.46 percent, as 5.02 lakh appeared among which 3.22 lakh passed.

In 2023, the pass percentage of the first-year intermediate was 62.85 percent, while in the second year, it was 67.27 percent.

Girls outshine boys

However, in both years, girls have outshone boys.

Of the 4.78 lakh of the first year, 2.41 lakh were girls, among whom 1.65 lakh have passed making the pass percentage 68.35 percent.

Among their counterparts, the pass percentage has been 51.5 percent. 1.22 lakh boys cleared the exam among the 2.37 lakh who appeared.

In the senior year, the girls’ pass percentage was 72.53 percent, while the boys’ pass percentage was 56.1 percent. 1.79 lakh girls passed the exam among 2.47 lakh who appeared. While 1.43 lakh boys passed among the 2.54 lakh who appeared.

The first-year regular (without vocational) highest pass percentage was seen in the Ranga Reddy district at 71.7 percent, while the lowest was in the Kamareddy district with 34.81 percent.

The second-year regular (without vocational) highest pass percentage was seen in the Mulugu district with 82.95 percentage, while the lowest was again in the Kamareddy district with 44.29 percent.

The pass percentages in state-run institutions are:

  • Telangana Social Welfare Residential Junior Colleges
    First-year: 75.85 percent
    second-year: 83.23 percent
  • Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Junior Colleges
    First-year: 69.77 percent
    Second-year: 81.52 percent
  • KGBV (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya)
    First-year: 67.19 percent
    Second-year: 77.42 percent
  • Minority Residential Junior Colleges
    First-year: 72.84 percent
    Second-year: 83.65 percent
  • Backward Classes Welfare Residential Junior Colleges
    First-year: 71.35 percent
    Second-year: 82.87 percent

Results and re-evaluation

To check the scorecard, the students should visit the TSBIE website and enter their 10-digit hall ticket numbers.

The scorecard can be downloaded by the students. In case of trouble accessing the website or any other issues, the students can contact the TSBIE help desk at 040-24655027.

Students can apply for re-evaluation and supplementary exams from 25 April to 2 May. The supplementary exams will be held from 25 May.
