Synopsis: The High Court bench of Justices K Lakshman and K Sujana granted bail to Innaiah, who had been remanded to Chanchalguda Central Jail. He was arrested for his alleged inflammatory speech at the funeral meeting of CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Katta Ramachandra Reddy in October 2025.

The Telangana High Court on Wednesday, 19 August, granted bail to activist Gade Innaiah, who was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA), in December 2025.

The high court bench of Justice K Lakshman and K Sujana granted bail to Innaiah, who had been remanded to Chanchalguda Central Jail. He was arrested for his alleged inflammatory speech at the funeral meeting of CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Katta Ramachandra Reddy in October 2025.

As per bail terms, Innaiah must surrender his passport and report to KPHB police station every week. The court directed him to co-operate with the trial court for expeditious disposal.

In case of violation of bail conditions, the National Investigation Agency has been granted permission to file for the cancellation of bail.

In a chargesheet filed in June 2026, NIA accused Innaiah of maintaining close ties with maoists in Chhattisgarh. His counsel then condemned the chargesheet as an excuse to continue his detention past six months, in order to block the default bail.

Speaking to South First on Wednesday, Advocate Rajitha reiterated her stance and said, “It is a politically motivated case just to suppress the dissenting voice, the questioning voice. We have trust in the judiciary and judicial procedure. We will fight through the judiciary against these politically motivated, false, and frivolous cases.”
