In a recent meeting of the Revenue Resource Mobilisation Sub-Committee at the Dr BR Ambedkar State Secretariat, ministers and senior officials explored innovative ways to boost state revenues without burdening citizens.
Key discussions included expanding sand sale centres, forming mandal-level price committees to curb rising construction costs, and accelerating LRS application resolutions. The panel also proposed allowing tribals to directly operate quarries for livelihood support and relocating polluting industries outside the Outer Ring Road.
Telangana’s lead in commercial tax growth among southern states was also highlighted during the session.
