Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been allotted Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, formerly known as Pragathi Bhavan, on Greenlands Road in Hyderabad as his official residence on Wednesday, 13 December.
Situated in Hyderabad’s Begumpet, the Praja Bhavan was built in 2016 to serve as the chief minister’s camp office-cum-residence.
The residence was allotted to Vikramarka after Chief Minister A Reventh Reddy decided not to reside there.
Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari issued an order, directing the executive engineer (Roads & Buildings department) to hand over the possession of the Praja Bhavan to the private secretary of Vikramarka.
The latter should inform the government of the date of occupation.

Hundreds of people have been thronging the Praja Bhavan with the representations after the “Praja Darbar” — People’s Court — Revanth Reddy organised a day after assuming power.
On 7 December, the authorities demolished a barricaded pathway that was used as an entrance to the building. Former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had used it as his camp office-cum-residence.
Vikramarka Mallu is expected to take charge of the finance, planning, and power portfolios at 8.20 am on Thursday.
