Dharani portal glitches

Telangana Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy on Thursday, 6 July, said that a “mafia” was behind the company that was managing the Dharani portal in Telangana.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, he said: “The Congress, after coming to power in the state, will release ‘Dharani files’, explaining who is behind the company that is managing Dharani.”

Dharani, which is controlled by TerrSIS Technologies Ltd, was acquired by the Philippines-based company Falcon SG Holdings from IL & FS in December 2021.

‘Centre should divulge details’

He demanded that the Centre should divulge the details of the investments made in Dharani.

“As Dharani is controlled by a foreign company, it has access to the land records of the people and their personal data. In fact, Gade Sridhar Raju, who is close to the ‘prince’ (implying KTR), controls it. The kind of plunder that has been taking place through Dharani is worse than a highway robbery,” Revanth Reddy said.

He alleged that those who were maintaining the Dharani portal are known for committing financial irregularities.

“There are foreigners among those who are managing Dharani. We do not know their antecedents. Using the Dharani portal, vested interests were registering lands in the prohibited lists in favour of those in whom they are interested and then locking the portal again. Gade Sridhar Raju holds the key for the Dharani,” he said,

He also added that Congress leader Kodanda Reddy had inquired into how irregularities were taking place through Dharani, he said.

‘KCR misleading people’

Revanth Reddy said whenever he said the Dharani portal would be wound up, KCR is getting jittery adding that the chief minister was misleading the people on this count.

“After coming to power, we would replace Dharnai with a better portal and expose the how KCR government had illegally sold away the lands in the prohibited list after 15 July,” he said, adding that the Centre if it is really interested, could initiate action against the government for the irregularities that had been committed through dharani.

“In Gajwel, 1,500 acres of land had been snatched away from the people through Dharani of which hundreds of acres to Amul Dairy. Also, a part of the land was allotted to the parties in whom BC Welfare Minister Ganugla Kamalkar has interests,” he said.

The TPCC president said that in blatant violation of the orders of the Telangana High Court, the government had allotted endowments’ lands to pharma companies.

“That is why both KCR and his son KTR are crying hoarse whenever we say Dharani would be scrapped,” Revanth Reddy said.

Bonding between BJP and BRS

He alleged that the “fevicol” bonding became further strengthened between the BRS and The BJP during the recent tour of KTR to Delhi.

Referring to the issue of allotment of tickets to candidates in the Congress, he said the first list that would come would have the names of the SCs and STs. This is being done to send a message that the Congress was on the side of the poor.

Referring to the injustice done to BJP leader Eatala Rajender, Revanth Reddy said that the saffron party had cheated him by assigning him the responsibility of the chairman of the election management committee.

Though the government has enhanced the security detail for Eatala, it has not yet registered any case against the person from whom Eatala perceives a threat to his life, he said.
