In a major move to enhance Telangana’s tourism landscape, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, along with senior officials, visited key sites in the Kollapur region, including Somasila, Amargiri, and the historic temples of Madhava Swamy and Madanagopala Swamy.
The visit, part of a strategic initiative under the SASCI scheme, aims to tap into the region’s spiritual, cultural, and ecological potential.
A ₹68.10 crore project is underway to develop Somasila as a world-class wellness and spiritual retreat. At a review meeting later, the Minister emphasised integrated planning, infrastructure upgrades, and inter-departmental coordination to fast-track development.
Backed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision, the government seeks to turn Telangana into a vibrant tourism hub, attracting global and domestic travellers. With focused investments and long-term planning, officials hope to position the state prominently on the global tourism map.
