Sarma’s previous visit

Sarma visited the city in September 2022 to deliver a speech during a colourful procession organised by the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi for the immersion of Ganesh idols as part of the 11-day Vinayaka Chaturthi festival.

A security breach took place when he was delivering his speech from the dais at MJ Market. A BRS leader tried to snatch the mic when Sarma was speaking. The police immediately intervened and detained the BRS leader.
