In a major push for development, the Telangana government on Tuesday, 8 July, laid foundation stones for multiple projects worth ₹100 crore in the Mahabubabad constituency, with a public meeting held at Somla Thanda to mark the occasion. Leaders emphasised the government’s commitment to people-centric progress, highlighting achievements in power supply, agriculture, education, and tribal welfare.
Key announcements included ₹70,000 crore in annual support for farmers, ₹21,000 crore in interest-free loans for beneficiaries of the Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) scheme, and ₹12,600 crore for plant distribution under the Nallamala Declaration. The government said it has been building new international-standard schools, with a ₹200 crore allotment for each.
