The BJP Telangana affairs in-charge Tarun Chugh on Wednesday, 9 August, said that only the BJP could protect the people of Telangana from the “family” and corrupt rule of the BRS government in the state.
The reference was to Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, whose daughter K Kavitha is an MLC and son KT Rama Rao is a minister in the state Cabinet.
Interacting with reporters in Hyderabad, he sought to know why the BRS government was not implementing the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, a national public health insurance scheme, in the state.
The steering of the car — the symbol of the BRS party — was in the hands of the AIMIM, he alleged.
Chugh alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s corrupt rule was continuing in the state and claimed Rao was betraying the people of Telangana with his false promises.
The BRS was acting as a ‘B’ team for the Congress, he added.
He also alleged that even though the people in Telangana gave KCR the chance to rule the state twice, he pushed it into debt.
The Union government sanctioned 4 crore houses across the country, but the state government failed to allocate the same to the poor people, he said.
Chugh accused Chandrashekar Rao of diverting funds sanctioned by the Centre for Hyderabad, which is a metro city. The chief minister was deceiving people in the name of allocating 2BHK flats to the poor people, he said.
He promised that the party would put up statues of the freedom fighters and army jawans, who sacrificed their lives for the country, in every village.
Meanwhile, BJP senior leader and party’s co-incharge for Tamil Nadu Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy condemned the remarks made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking on the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha.
“I am strongly condemning his outbursts which is motivated, self centric and narrow minded for the political gains. It is not in good taste and he has commented on Bharat Mata and also about the integrity of the Bhartiya Janata party leadership. This is uncalled for unwarranted,” he tweeted.
“Everybody knows when Rahul Gandhi went went outside the country… and made comments on internal affairs of our great country,” he said.
Today Congress leader ex Congress president @RahulGandhi ji while speaking on NO confidence motion in Lok Sabha made irrelevant comments on @BJP4India and especially on Prime Minister. He alleged that the comments were made by Gandhi out of jealousy since he was unable to digest the ongoing development programmes of the NDA government led by Modi and his growing popularity across the globe.
Reddy demanded Gandhi withdraw his remarks on the BJP and the prime minister.
