To counter the saffron party, which has stepped up its campaign against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections slated for year-end, the ruling BRS on Monday, 14 August, released a CD titled “BJP’s 100 lies”.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao, while releasing the CD and a booklet at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad, complimented the party’s social media team for exposing the failures of the BJP-led Union government and highlighting the injustice it had done to the people of Telangana.

The BRS social media wing has quite been active in “exposing” the BJP government’s failures “on all fronts”.

In its latest offering, it has focused on the various promises Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allegedly failed to keep and how the Union government is preventing Telangana from accessing what is due to it as a matter of right.

BRS social media convenors Manne Krishank, Y Satish Reddy, Jagan Mohan Rao, and Dinesh Chowdary took up the work of exposing how Modi had betrayed the people of Telangana, said KTR, while releasing the CD and an accompanying booklet.

The social media campaign has focused on the Union government’s inability to find answers to unemployment, runaway inflation, the GST which has become a burden, as well as its failure to ensure internet connectivity to every household in the country and housing for all.

The CD also focuses on the Centre’s failure to fulfill the promises made in the AP State Reorganisation Act, 2014, which include setting up of steel plant in Bayyaram, and a coach factory in Kazipet.

The campaign also sought to expose the charade that the Union government had been involved in to delay hiking the reservation percentage of the STs.

KTR, patting the social media convenors on the back for their four-month-long-effor effort, said that they had exposed the hollowness of the BJP’s claims very effectively.

“The BJP is playing politics on a foundation of lies,” KTR said, and asked the social media team to ensure that the campaign reaches people even in the remote villages.

Among those present at the event were MLA KP Vivekananda Goud and MP BB Patil.
