Telangana: Over 50 trains cancelled due to heavy rain forecast

The SCR has cancelled 34 MMTS trains, besides a few trains that pass through Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The South Central Railway (SCR) cancelled 34 Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) services, 10 trains, and six special trains, besides partially cancelling two trains for three days between Monday and Wednesday, 11-13 July, because of the heavy downpour predicted in Telangana.

The SCR took to Twitter to announce the MMTS trains that have been cancelled from Lingampalli to Hyderabad, Falaknuma and Secunderabad.

Cancelled MMTS trains

The MMTS trains cancelled from Lingampalli to Hyderabad stations are numbered 47129, 47132, 47133, 47135, 47136, 47137, 47139, 47138, and 47140.

The MMTS trains cancelled from Hyderabad to Lingampalli include 47105, 47109, 47110, 47111, 47112, 47114, 47116, 47118, and 47120.

From Falaknuma to Lingampalli, the MMTS trains cancelled are 47153, 47164, 47165, 47166, 47203, 47220, and 47170.

MMTS trains cancelled from Lingampalli to Falaknuma are 47176, 47189, 47210, 47187, 47190, 47191, and 47191.

And between Secunderabad and Lingampalli, MMTS trains 47150 and 47195 have been cancelled.

More trains cancelled

In a separate statement, the SCR said it had cancelled 10 trains and six special trains, besides partially cancelling two trains scheduled to operate from Monday to Wednesday. The trains cancelled are:

Secunderabad-Umdanagar-Secunderabad passenger special (07077 and 07078)
Secunderabad-Umdanagar MEMU special (07055)
Medchal-Umdanagar MEMU special (07076)
Umdanagar-Secunderabad MEMU special (07056)
Secunderabad-Umdanagar-Secunderabad MEMU special (07059-07060 )
HS Nanded-Medchal-HS Nanded passenger special (07971-07970)
Secunderabad-Medchal MEMU special (07438)
Medchal-Secunderabad MEMU special (07213)
Kakinada Port-Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Port MEMU (17267-17268)
Vijayawada-Bitragunta-Vijayawada MEMU (07978-07977).

Partially cancelled trains

The Kakinada Port-Vijayawada Express (17258) is partially cancelled between Kakinada Port and Rajahmundry, and the Vijayawada-Kakinada Port Express (17257) is partially cancelled between Rajahmundry and Kakinada Port.
