President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad to a rousing reception at IAF’s Hakimpet airport on Monday, 26 December, for her annual Southern Sojourn.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijalaxmi, and Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy were among those who received her on her arrival at Hakimpet.
After receiving the guard of honour, the President was taken to the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollaram in Secunderabad.
The President arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at about noon, and immediately left for Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh.
She performed special poojas at the temple and later inaugurated development works taken up under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spirituality Augmentation Drive (PRASAD).

On her return journey, she landed at Hakimpet Airport in the evening. She will be staying in Hyderabad till 30 December.
