Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, former Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu, and Megastar Chiranjeevi paid visits to KCR.
Former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who underwent successful hip replacement surgery at Yashoda Hospital and is now in recovery, has been receiving visitors from across the political spectrum — not to speak of Telugu film stars.
On Monday, 11 December, several politicians, including TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Telangana chief RS Praveen Kumar, were among those who dropped by to enquire about KCR’s health.
From the Telugu film fraternity, Megastar Konidela Chiranjeevi and multi-lingual actor Prakash Raj were among those who visited the former chief minister.
KCR, who suffered a fall at his farmhouse and broke his hip, has been advised six to eight weeks rest.
Breaking away from the general notion that political leaders only criticise each other, social media noted with appreciation that new Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also paid a visit to his predecessor.
So far, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister and State BJP President G Kishan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and other leaders have wished him a speedy recovery.
With more political leaders from across party lines coming to meet the former chief minister, interest in the trend is growing. According to reports, more leaders and film stars will pay their visits in the coming days.
But many on social media also thought the visits were mere publicity stunts.
An X user wrote, “Revanth meets KCR, well done. This might be a media move, but believe that’s how it should be. You needn’t put CBN/KCR in jail necessarily, unless you have a personal grudge. If they are really corrupt, hit the system built around them and it comes crashing down.”

Many Congress fan accounts appreciated Revanth’s move of meeting KCR despite the latter not congratulating him after the polling result.
An X user wrote, “Revanth Reddy meets KCR in the hospital to check on his surgery. Remember, KCR & KTR didn’t attend his CM oath ceremony & didn’t congratulate even on Twitter.”

Following the defeat of BRS in the recent Assembly elections, KCR resigned as the chief minister on December 3. He stayed at his Erravelli farmhouse, where he held meetings with party leaders and the public.
On the night of December 7, KCR (69) fell at his Erravelli residence and was subsequently shifted to Yashoda Hospitals at Somajiguda. After a thorough evaluation, the hospital reported that he had sustained a left hip fracture, and surgery was deemed necessary.
On the night of December 8, he underwent the surgery successfully, as indicated in a bulletin released by the hospital.
Meanwhile, the BRS on 9 December unanimously elected KCR as its leader. The meeting was not attended by the former chief minister’s son and party working president KT Rama Rao either. Both are yet to take the oath as the MLAs.
