Major reshuffle in Telangana: 20 IPS officers transferred; ex-DGP Anjani Kumar, ex-CP CV Anand get postings

Among the IPS officers holding director general (DG) ranks in Telangana, 1990-batch officer Ravi Gupta has been transferred and posted as the DG of Co-ordination, and will continue to hold the full additional charge (FAC) as the director general of police (DGP) of Telangana.

He was given the FAC of the DGP of Telangana on 3 December and was holding the post of the DG of the Anti-Corruption Bureau as well as Vigilance and Enforcement (FAC).

Former Telangana DGP, 1990-batch IPS officer Anjani Kumar, who was suspended by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on 3 December and was waiting for posting after his suspension was revoked, has been appointed the chairman of the Road Safety Authority of Hyderabad.

Rajiv Ratan, the 1991-batch officer who held the post of managing director of the Telangana State Police Housing Corporation in Hyderabad, has been posted as the DG of Vigilance & Enforcement in Telangana.

Meanwhile, 1991-batch officer CV Anand, who was also waiting for a posting, has been appointed DG of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The former Hyderabad City commissioner of police (CP) was transferred by the ECI on October 11 along with several other officers.

Abhilasha Bisht, a 1994-batch officer serving as the additional DGP (ADGP) of Welfare & Sports and holing FAC of the ADGP of Home Guards and in-charge of Coordination in Telangana, has been posted as the director of the Dr RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy in Hyderabad.

She has also been given FAC of the post of the inspector general of police (IGP) of Training.

Dr Soumya Mishra, a 1994-batch officer who was the ADGP of Personnel, has been posted as the DG of Prisons & Correctional Services, relieving Dr Jitender, IPS, from FAC.

Shikha Goel, a 1994-batch IPS officer who was the ADGP of Women Safety, SHE teams & Bharosa in Hyderabad, was transferred as the ADGP of CID, relieving Mahesh M Bhagwat.

She has also been given the FAC of the director of the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau and ADGP of Technical Services. She will continue to be the in-charge director of the Telangana Forensic Science Lab.

Mahesh M Bhagwat, a 1995-batch officer who was the additional DG (ADG) of the CID, has been posted as the ADGP of Railways & Road Safety. He has also been given the FAC of the ADGP of Organisation & Legal.

Dr Anil Kumar, a 1996-batch IPS officer who was waiting for a posting, has been appointed the DG of the Telangana Special Protection Force, duly relieving Dr Jitender from FAC.

Former Cyberabad CP and 1999-batch IPS officer M Stephen Raveendra, who was waiting for a posting after the recent transfer, has been appointed the IGP of Home Guards. He has also been given the FAC of Welfare & Sports.

Dr Tarun Joshi, a 2004-batch IPS officer who was the additional commissioner of police (ACP) of Rachakonda, has been posted as the IGP of Multi Zone-II in Hyderabad. He has also been given the FAC of IGP, Multi Zone-I.

VB Kamalasan Reddy, IPS (SPS:2004), Director General, Drugs Control, Telangana, Hyderabad, is placed in Full Additional Charge of Director, Prohibition & Excise, Telangana, Hyderabad.

AR.Srinivas, IPS (SPS:2004), Additional DG, Dr.RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy, Hyderabad is transferred and posted as Director, Anti Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, in the existing vacancy.

S Chandrasekhar Reddy, IPS, (SPS:2004) is posted as Inspector General of Police, Personnel.

M Ramesh, IPS (SPS:2006), Inspector General of Police, (Provisioning & Logistics), Telangana, Hyderabad, is placed in Full Additional Charge of Managing Director, Telangana State Police Housing Corporation, Hyderabad.

K Ramesh Naidu, IPS (SPS:2006), DIG, Zone-III, Rajanna Sircilla, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, in the existing vacancy.

V.Satyanarayana, IPS (SPS:2006), Deputy Inspector General of Police, who was waiting for posting, is posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, CAR Hqrs, Hyderabad City, vice Sri M.Srinivasulu, IPS.

M.Srinivasulu, IPS (SPS:2006), has been directed to report to the office of Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad.

B Sumathi, IPS (SPS:2006), Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, Women Protection Cell, Telangana, Hyderabad, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, SIB, Intelligence in the existing vacancy.

Sharat Chandra Pawar, IPS (RR:2016), Deputy Director, Dr.RBVRR, Telangana State Police Academy, Hyderabad is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad City, in the existing vacancy.
