KTR accuses Revanth Reddy's Congress government of exploiting farmers
BRS working president and Telangana leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) has written an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, challenging him to initiate a discussion in the State Assembly regarding the controversial Formula-E race issue.
In his letter, KTR accused the Congress-led government of making baseless allegations against the previous BRS government, particularly targeting him, over the Formula-E race event.
KTR pointed out that the issue had been discussed extensively in a recent Cabinet meeting under Revanth Reddy’s leadership and that leaks from the chief minister’s Office hinted at potential legal action, citing approval from the Governor.
I challenge CM Revanth Reddy to hold a discussion in the ongoing Telangana Legislative Assembly session on the Formula E Race (Hyderabad E-Prix)
Why discuss this matter for 1 and half hours in Cabinet Meeting and plant silly media leaks?

KTR called for transparency, urging the government to address the issue publicly rather than holding closed-door discussions.
He emphasised that the people of Telangana deserve to know the truth and suggested that the matter be debated in the ongoing Assembly session.
The Formula-E race, which was held successfully in 2023, had brought substantial economic benefits to the state, with a Nielsen report estimating a ₹700 crore contribution to the state economy.
KTR stated that the BRS government had entered into the agreement with organisers with the noble intention of promoting Telangana and Hyderabad. However, after the Congress government took power, the 2024 edition of the race was abruptly canceled.
He refuted the allegations of irregularities and corruption surrounding the event, describing the agreement as transparent. KTR claimed that the Congress government’s attempts to discredit the event were driven by political vendetta.
“I reiterate that there were no irregularities or corruption in the Formula-E race issue. The event, which brought goodwill to the state and Hyderabad, was sacrificed purely due to political motives,” KTR said, urging Revanth Reddy to schedule a full discussion in the Assembly.
The letter concludes with a call for clarity and accountability, asserting that only a detailed debate in the Assembly would reveal the truth behind the matter.
