KCR to address second public meeting in Maharashtra; aims to root out BJP in next elections

The party is expecting that quite a number of leaders from Opposition parties in Maharashtra would be joining the BRS in his presence

BRS supremo and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be addressing a public meeting at Kandar Loha in Maharashtra on 26 March, as part of the party’s efforts to reach out to other states with a call to root out the BJP at the Centre in the 2024 general elections.

The party is expecting quite a number of leaders from Opposition parties in Maharashtra to join the BRS in his presence

This will be his second public meeting in neighbouring Maharashtra, after Nanded recently, where Rao, popularly known as KCR, gave an outline of the policy that he would be unveiling for the welfare of the farmers, a late-night press release from the party said on Tuesday, 14 March.

Farmers turned up at Nanded

The BRS supremo, at several fora, gave an account of what he intended to do for a qualitative change in policy-making at the Centre.

At Nanded, a number of farmers had turned up to listen to KCR as he rolled out the welfare schemes he has up his sleeve for Maharashtra. He also explained the farmer-friendly policies that were in implementation in Telangana state.

In this backdrop, several leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra called on KCR on Tuesday and expressed their willingness to join the BRS.

They included former MLA and NCP Kisan Cell president Sanakranna Dhonge, former MLA Naganath Gesevad, NCP Nanded district president Datta Pawar, Maharashtra NCP Youth secretary Shivraj Dhonge, NCP Nanded president Shivdas Dharmapurikkar, Kisan Morcha president Manohar Patil Bhosikkar, NCP official spokesperson Dr Sunil Patil, NCP Loha president Subhash Vakore and NCP Kandar president Datta Karamange.

Armoor MLA and party in-charge for Nanded A Jeevan Reddy was present on the occasion.
