KCR must release white paper on his and his family’s assets, demands Bandi

The BJP state chief demanded this while addressing BJP leaders during its state executive committee meeting organised in Mahabubnagar.

Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday, 24 January, demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao release a white paper on his and his family members’ assets acquired before and after 2014.

The chief minister must release a separate white paper on the financial status of Telangana, which was a surplus state earlier, and is now into bankruptcy, he said while addressing party leaders during the two-day BJP state executive committee meeting which kicked off in Mahabubnagar district on Tuesday.

“If each family in Telangana is giving ₹50,000 as income to the BRS government through liquor sales, the chief minister is imposing a burden of ₹6 lakh loan on each family as a gift,” he said.

“The people in Telangana are in complete despair. They are confident that BJP will provide assurance and self-confidence to the people, who are in trouble. People want change and the BJP is an alternative to BRS. People have decided to give BJP a chance this time,” he added.

Referring to the problems being faced by teachers with GO 317, Sanjay condemned the highhandedness of the police towards the teachers who staged a demonstration at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad on 23 January.

He demanded that the state government resolve teachers’ issues by 30 January and said a dharna will be conducted at Indira Park in Hyderabad till the government makes amendments to the GO 317.

‘KCR is suppressing people’

Stating that Chandrashekhar Rao is suppressing all communities in the state, Sanjay said the chief minister failed to solve any problem.

He claimed that the government lands and the lands of Dalits were being encroached upon and the promises given to Dalits were not fulfilled.

Sanjay alleged that the BRS government deceived farmers by failing to implement loan waivers for them. The assurances given to farmers were also not implemented and only 25,000 vacancies were filled up by giving 22 job notifications, he added.

The BJP state chief claimed that the central government has filled more than 2.46 lakh jobs and issued appointment letters in the last three months. The salaries of government staff were not paid on time and four dearness allowances (DAs) were still pending, he said.

When the BJP questioned the reason behind not giving DA to the staff, the state government declared DA for them, he noted.

“Except for Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and Rythu Bandhu schemes, no other welfare schemes are being implemented,” Sanjay said.

Adding that the chief minister made the state completely bankrupt by taking debts, he said, “If Chandrashekar Rao becomes chief minister again, he will borrow another ₹5 lakh crore and make people beggars”.

‘State government is deceiving people’

Bandi Sanjay said the state government was conspiring to deceive the people by introducing a huge budget beyond the revenue and assuring unworkable promises.

“Chandrashekar Rao is undermining constitutional systems and insulting the Governor by not inviting him to the Assembly. He kept the bureaucracy and power system completely in his hands.”

“In the name of BRS, Chandrashekar Rao started a new drama with the help of communists and Congress that never think about the country’s welfare and development and added that the BRS was started to criticise the central government and divert the attention of the people,” said Bandi Sanjay.

Although the central government was supporting Telangana on all fronts, and providing funds, the BRS government was not cooperating with it, he said, adding that the state government was also diverting funds sanctioned by the central government to gram panchayats directly.
