KCR in Delhi: Inspects the under-construction BRS office coming up on 1,200 sq yards

The Telangana CM discussed the design and the building plan with the engineers and architects involved in the project.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday, 12 October, visited the building which is under construction at Vasant Vihar in New Delhi for use as the office of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS).

The G+2 building is coming up on 1,200 square yards which the Centre had allotted to the party in 2020. At present he is operating from his official quarter at No 23, Tughlak Road.

The chief minister, who arrived in Delhi on Tuesday after attending the funeral of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, visited the building that the party has taken on lease on Sardar Patel Marg to serve as a temporary office till such time the Vasant Vihar building comes up.

On Wednesday, accompanied by minister V Prashanth Reddy, MPs Joginipally Santosh Kumar, Divakonda Damodar Rao, and Vaddiraju Ravichandra, KCR went around the under-construction building.

He discussed the design and the building plan with the engineers and architects, and evinced interest in how the construction was progressing. He spent considerable time at the site, giving suggestions to the engineers. He asked the officials and the engineers to complete the construction as early as possible.

The chief minister is expected to stay put in the nation’s capital till the weekend and then would return to Hyderabad.

He is likely to confer with leaders of Opposition parties on crafting a credible coalition to serve as an alternative to the BJP. He may also discuss the problems in agriculture and irrigation with farmers’ leaders.
