BRS MLC K Kavitha on Thursday, 10 August, warned BJP’s Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri that she would hunt him down to wherever he contests — whether for Assembly or Lok Sabha elections — and would inflict a humiliating defeat on him.

Interacting with the media in Hyderabad, she targeted Dharmapuri, “Like you, I also hail from Nizamabad. I will come, contest against you in the Lok Sabha elections, and see that you bite the dust.”

Kavitha hits back at Dharmapuri

Riled by Arvind’s objectionable criticism against her, Kavitha came down on him like a tonne of bricks. “You are speaking all rot about me,” she said and tried to paint him as one who collects money by promising aspirants party tickets.

Arvind has a habit of encouraging at least three of his party leaders in each of the seven Assembly segments in his Lok Sabha constituency, she charged. “He collects money from all of them and, finally, lets them down. This is the reason why there are several such victims who are raising a banner of revolt against him,” she said.

She added that Arvind has not only been cheating his own party men, but is also pulling the wool over the eyes of the people of his constituency.

She said that Arvind had been telling his confidants that he would seek election to the Assembly from Korutla and that he is not interested in contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

“I am going to contest the Lok Sabha from Nizamabad. It is my in-laws’ place. I belong to Nizamabad. I lived there. Finally, when I die, it will be Nizamabad. I am not going to run away from Nizamabad. It is only you who has been saying that you would be contesting for the Assembly from Korutla,” she noted.

She said that she would not leave him wherever he contests from and for whichever office.

“Even if you contest as a sarpanch or MPTC or MLA, I will be there and see to it that you taste the most ignominious defeat,” she said. First, learn what you should ask in the Parliament for Telangana, she said and added, “Try to learn some etiquette.”

Taking a shot at Bandi Sanjay

Training her guns at BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is the party’s national executive member, Kavitha challenged him to go and touch power lines in the state as he has been saying that there is no power supply for 24 hours to the farm sector, as claimed by the BRS government.

She asked him to realise that when an opportunity is given to a Member in Parliament, one should use it to ensure that some benefit would accrue to the state.

She charged that he never speaks even one good word. He has been making objectionable comments against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

“Let Bandi Sanjay decide for himself whether it was proper for him to talk the way he was talking about the chief minister,” she said.
