‘It’s unfortunate that Scamgress was handed over to a thug in Telangana,’ says KT Rama Rao

He requested the home minister and DGP to act sternly as per law against those who were threatening BRS Hyderabad in-charge Dasoraju Sravan.

BRS working president and Telangana Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday, 14 July, requested the state’s Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Director-General of Police Anjani Kumar to act sternly as per law against those who were threatening the BRS’ Hyderabad in-charge Dasoraju Sravan for criticising Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president A Revanth Reddy.

In a tweet, he said, “I request Home Minister @mahmoodalibrs Garu and @TelanganaDGP Garu to kindly take this matter seriously and act sternly and swiftly as per law. It’s truly unfortunate that Scamgress now has been handed over to a thug in Telangana who is resorting to open threats.”

Who threatened Sravan?

Claiming themselves to be followers of Revanth Reddy, some people called Sravan at 12.15 am and threatened him with dire consequences if he continued to criticise the TPCC chief.

He lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad Cybercrimes police on Friday evening.

Responding to allegations made by jailed conman Sukesh, Rama Rao said in a separate tweet: “Just learnt from the media that a delusional fraudster and a noted criminal called Sukesh has made some ludicrous allegations about me. I have never heard of this rogue and intend to pursue strong legal action against him for his nonsensical utterances. Request media also to be circumspect when publishing such wild comments/claims from fraudsters.”

On the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, Rama Rao extended congratulations to ISRO.

“This remarkable achievement marks a new chapter in India’s space journey, inspiring the dreams of every Indian. The unwavering dedication of our scientists is truly commendable,” he tweeted.

Inaugurations

Rama Rao took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new factories of Daifuku Intralogistics India Pvt Ltd and Nicomac Taikisha Clean Rooms Pvt Ltd in Chandanvelly in the Ranga Reddy district.

Daifuku is the world’s leading provider of automated material handling technology and solutions. Taikisha Ltd, a 110-year-old Japan-based engineering company, is a pioneer in setting up clean rooms and HVAC for electronic devices, lithium-ion battery manufacturing, food industry (hydroponic farming). Taikisha acquired Nicomac Cleanrooms.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the Minister praised the rapid development of Japan and its culture as an inspiration for Telangana’s future. He thanked the management of Daifuku, Taikisha for choosing Telangana over other options.

Rama Rao said the two companies would invest Rs 575 crore and generate 1,600-2,000 direct jobs, along with at least 4,000 indirect jobs, prioritizing hiring local candidates for these positions. He expressed his delight as Daifuku adopted ITI in Vikarabad, ensuring training and opportunities for the youth.

The Minister highlighted the potential for Chandanvelly region to become the crucial industrial cluster in Telangana.
