The sales of tickets for the first-ever Formula E race in Hyderabad next month began on Wednesday, 4 January.
Also known as Formula E Prix, it is a motorsport championship for electric cars running on EV technology and is scheduled to take place on 11 February.
The seven-month world championship, which includes 16 races, is set to kick off on 14 January in Mexico City (Mexico) and finish in London (England) on 30 July.
Hyderabad is expected to see the fourth round of the ninth season of the championship, in which 11 teams with 22 cars will participate. The speed can extend up to 322 kilometres per hour.
Some of the prominent teams at the Hyderabad Formula E event are McLaren, Maserati, Mahindra, Jaguar, Nissan, and Porsche.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government, along with the private firm Ace Nxt Gen, has decided to live-stream the event on big screens across the city.
Where to buy tickets?
As per sources, a total of 22,500 tickets are available for the Hyderabad Formula E event, also known as the Hyderabad E Prix.

They can be bought in the “Sports in Hyderabad” section of the BookMyShow website and app — an Indian online ticketing service for cinemas, theatres and sports.
The tickets have been divided into four categories for the main race, scheduled from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm on 11 February.
Arvind Kumar, Telangana government’s special chief secretary at Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD), booked the first ticket at the ticket launch event at the Hitex exhibition centre.
The prices have been fixed at ₹10,000 for ace grandstands, ₹6,000 for premium, ₹3,500 for charged, and ₹1,000 for grandstands.
However, on 10 February, students and families are allowed to visit the race track for free to take a look at the cars.
As per Formula One, while the ace grandstands provide a view of the starting and finishing of the race, the rest will provide views of the race from other spots.
