These five people were detained in addition to over 11 others who were already picked up by the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS).
The arrest of these people was carried out in a joint operation involving central agencies, Madhya Pradesh ATS, and the Counter Intelligence (CI) Cell of the Telangana Intelligence Department.

Two other persons — Abbas Ali and Hameed — work as an auto-rickshaw driver and a daily-wage labourer, respectively.
The five people were picked up from different parts of the city and are currently being questioned. One more suspect, Mohammed Salam, a daily-wage labourer, is absconding, sources stated.
The police seized electronic devices, literature, mobile phones, and other articles from the people who have been detained by the police. All the five people were allegedly maintaining links with the radical outfit for the last 18 months, sources added.
