At least, two daily-wage construction workers were killed and seven others were injured at a construction site when a slab and side wall collapsed on them in the Kanakamamidi area of Moinabad in Hyderabad on Monday, 20 November.
The police said the incident happened around noon. They also noted that the deceased were natives of Bihar.

While several reports claimed that the incident occurred when the construction work of an indoor stadium was in progress, DCP (Rajender Nagar) R Jagadishwar Reddy said a big convention hall was under construction.
“A slab and a side wall collapsed on the workers at the construction site. The two men who were buried in the rubble were pulled out of the debris by other workers, but had already died,” he told South First.

Rescue operations
Two teams of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Disaster Response Force (DRF) were rushed to the incident site around 1 pm to hasten the rescue operation.
Meanwhile, the seven injured individuals were rushed to a nearby medical centre for treatment.
A case under IPC Section 304 A (causing death by negligence) was registered by the Moinabad police.
