Unsettling visuals are circulating on social media of a woman engaged in a phone conversation before tragically jumping off the building on Friday, 5 January. Later that day, students from Gitam University in Sangareddy realised that this incident had unfolded within the confines of their own institution.

A student at the college captured the video in an attempt to discern the reason behind the girl’s precarious perch on the wall, only to witness her jump to her death a few seconds later.

Details of the incident

The police, in a statement, clarified that there was no widespread panic surrounding the incident. The woman was identified as Renu Sree, an 18-year-old first-year Engineering student at Gitam University.
