Synopsis: Electors can submit duly filled enumeration forms with a statement to their electoral registration officer, in person, through family members, or online. Those who have shifted within the state need not file Form 8; they must submit the form with a statement giving the new address, along with address proof. Voters who have already applied through Form 6 do not need to reapply.

Voters in Telangana whose names are missing from the draft electoral roll during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will have a fresh opportunity to be included in the final list, the state’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) announced on Friday, 6 November.

The CEO’s office said the decision follows a letter dated 6 November from the Election Commission of India (ECI). It applies to voters marked as absent, shifted, dead or duplicate (ASDD) and therefore left out of the draft roll.

According to the note, the entire process will be completed by 21 November. The CEO urged affected voters to use this window to ensure they are included in the final roll.

Those needing help can approach their Booth Level Officer (BLO) or call the toll-free helpline 1950.

The ECI’s letter, sent to the chief electoral officers of seven states and Union Territories, including Telangana, sets out how the exercise will be conducted.

Booth-wise ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead or Duplicate) lists, with reasons for exclusion, will be displayed afresh at polling stations, panchayat and urban local body offices, and uploaded to the CEO’s website.

Electors can submit duly filled enumeration forms with a statement to their electoral registration officer, in person, through family members, or online.

Those who have shifted within the state need not file Form 8; they must submit the form with a statement giving the new address, along with address proof. Voters who have already applied through Form 6 do not need to reapply.
