Ex-DSP D Nalini

Former deputy superintendent of police (DSP) D Nalini, whom new Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy wants to rejoin service, has other ideas — both for herself and the state government.

Nalini was the DSP of Medak when she was suspended from service in 2009. She would go on to join the Telangana statehood movement.

Of recent, though, her posts on Facebook — where she keeps fans and followers informed about her life — show her veering towards spiritualism.

It was on this account that she posted her reply to the chief minister, politely declining the chief minister’s offer while asking him to address the struggles of police personnel in the state.

Nalini’s reply

In a post on her Facebook account, Nalini wrote, “My time is precious, and I don’t want to spend it in bureaucracy. I want to share education by speaking on the Vedas.”

She said a higher power had directed her to move from criminology to philosophy, instead of replacing it with a pen.

“My request to CM Revanth Reddy is to allow me to continue my present-day work and also allow me to maintain the status quo,” she wrote.

“Please take appropriate measures so that no police officer gets troubled in the department. I have seen a spark in you, and will expect good governance,” she added.

She also said that she would like to meet the chief minister and media personnel, but it would take some time as she was busy writing her book, Vedam Yagnam, on the roots of Sanatana Dharma in Telugu and Hindi.

She has apparently decided to bring it out by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi’s 200th birth anniversary.
