BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha killed after SUV crashes into barrier on Hyderabad outskirts

Nanditha had met with another accident at Cherlapalli on Hyderabad outskirts while returning home after attending a public meeting addressed by party supremo K Chandrashekar Rao in Nalgonda on 13 February.

She had lost her father and Cantonment MLA G Sayanna on 19 February 2023 and the BRS fielded her in the 30 November election. She won the election to the Assembly against BJP’s N Sri Ganesh by a margin of 17,169 votes. Balladeer Gaddar’s daughter G Vennela, the Congress candidate, finished third.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over her untimely death. He recalled his association with her father Sayanna.

BRS president Chandrasekhar Rao expressed anguish over her sudden demise and said Lasya Nanditha won people’s appreciation as MLA.

The BRS would stand by her family members in the difficult times, Chandrasekhar Rao said.

BJP leader Kishan Reddy said it was painful that Lasya Nanditha and her father died within a year.

Distraught by the untimely demise of the young MLA of Secunderabad Cantonment, and daughter of Ex MLA late Sayyanna Garu, Lasya Nandita Garu.

BRS leaders and former ministers KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao expressed shock and dismay over her death. They said that she had a great future in public life and felt distressed to know that she was no more. Rama Rao said that as a young MLA in the Assembly, showed a lot of promise.

Harish Rao said that Nanditha had a glorious future. He expressed his condolences to her family.
