Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday, 4 June, made it clear that there would not be any alliance with the TDP.

In a teleconference with the party leaders, he said there was nothing to TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda in New Delhi on Saturday.

That meeting sparked talks of an alliance between the TDP and the BJP, but experts said that might not be on the cards.

‘Objective is overall development’

The main objective of the BJP was the overall development of the country, said Sanjay.

He asked the party cadre not to believe in speculations that the BJP and the TDP would form the alliance.

He instructed the cadre to intensify the Mahan Sampark Abhiyaan programme to highlight the development and welfare schemes initiatives launched by the Central government for the last nine years.

The BJP was not like Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was confined to Pragathi Bhavan and avoided meeting the Opposition leaders in the last nine years, he claimed.

The graph of BJP was increasing significantly in Telangana but the BRS and the Congress were conspiring to cause damage to the BJP, he said.

“It is the BJP that will dethrone the BRS government in the state to come to power whenever the elections will be held in the state,” Sanjay said, adding that the people were fed up with the anti-people policies of the BRS government.
