According to the National Centre for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), one-fifth of all deaths in India are caused by heart attacks, cardiac arrests, and strokes, including in the younger population.

Some of the most common causes of cardiac arrest in young people are congenital heart defects, inherited heart conditions, drug or alcohol abuse, electrical abnormalities of the heart, and trauma to the chest or heart.

It’s important to note that sudden cardiac arrest in young people is relatively rare. However, when it does occur, it can be devastating for the individual and their loved ones.

Therefore, it’s essential to be aware of the risk factors and warning signs of cardiac arrest and seek immediate medical attention if one experiences any symptoms or signs of a heart problem.
