Tamil Nadu milk cooperative Aavin revises ghee prices, continues discounts on paneer and UHT milk

Synopsis: The revised price chart will remain in force until 30 November, 2025. To boost festive sales, Aavin has offered discounts on ghee products across retail and wholesale outlets.

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. (Aavin) has announced a revision in ghee prices following changes in GST, effective from 22 September, 2025.

The revised price chart will remain in force until 30 November, 2025. To boost festive sales, Aavin has offered discounts on ghee products across retail and wholesale outlets.

For instance, the price of a 500 ml ghee pet jar has been reduced from ₹365 to ₹345, and a 5-litre jar from ₹3,600 to ₹3,250.

However, the existing discounts on 5-litre jars and 15-kg tins will be discontinued from 22 September.

Meanwhile, ongoing discounts on paneer and UHT milk have been extended till 30 November, 2025. Paneer (500 gm) will be sold at ₹275 (down from ₹300), and UHT milk (150 ml) at ₹10 (down from ₹12).

The order read, “The Federation has decided to maintain the existing MRP for all Aavin products. However, the price chart will be revised in accordance with the proposed GST changes and the revised chart will come into effect from 22nd September 2025. Considering the ghee market situation and our forecast for festival sales, it is proposed to provide discount on ghee products to attract customers and boost sales through wholesale dealer and retailers w.e.f 22.09.2025 to 30.11.2025.”
