Six women, all construction workers, were killed in a tragic accident in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, 7 February.
Women workers were fatally injured after a portion of an under-construction house came crashing down on them in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.
The collapse of a nearby building triggered the subsequent collapse of the under-construction house, leading to the fatal outcome.
In a statement, Chief Minister MK Stalin ordered a solatium of ₹2 lakh to the kin of each of the six deceased workers and ₹50,000 to each of the four injured labourers.
