Alisha Abdullah slams BJP Tamil Nadu

Synopsis: The remarks have drawn attention to the BJP’s internal diversity and minority representation in Tamil Nadu at a time when the party is reshaping its organizational structure under its new state leadership.

On Thursday, 4 September, Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran released the new list of key office-bearers for various party wings. Following which, noted motorsport champion and BJP member Alisha Abdullah expressed disappointment over the lack of minority representation in the state unit.

Taking to social media, Alisha said she had joined the BJP inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former TN chief K. Annamalai, which she believed stood for “No religion, no caste, just hard work.” However, she alleged Kesavan Vinayakam as an ineffective leader who still holds influence, while hardworking newcomers like her feel sidelined.

“Sadly, this proves Muslims have no place. Out of 28 presidents, there are no Christians or Muslims,” she wrote, calling it disheartening that her three years of work had gone “to trash.”
