Lok Sabha polls: Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi to visit Tamil Nadu

Senior BJP leader Amit Shah will hold a roadshow in Madurai on Friday, 12 April, ahead of the 19 April Lok Sabha polls in the state.

Shah, making his first visit to the southern state after the poll schedule was announced last month, will hold the roadshow from Periyar Bus Stand to Vilakkuthoon junction in Madurai.

The saffron party has fielded Raama Srinivasan from Madurai to take on CPI(M) MP Su Venkatesan.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also address election rallies in Tamil Nadu on Friday, in his first set of such engagements after the announcement of the poll schedule.

The Wayanad MP will address a public meeting in Coimbatore along with DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

He will also address a rally in Tirunelveli.
