Five college students die in a road accident near Thiruttani in Tamil Nadu

The two students who were injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Thiruvallur for treatment.

Five students die in Tamil Nadu road accident

A truck and a car collided head-on in the Ramancheri area near Thiruttani in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, 11 August, killing five people on the spot.

In the road accident that took place in Thiruvallur district, five of the seven people who were travelling in the car died on the spot while two others, seriously injured, were rushed to the hospital.

The passengers were students of SRM College in Chennai and the accident took place when they were returning from Andhra Pradesh after a trip.

The injured two have been admitted to the government hospital in Thiruvallur for treatment.

Meanwhile, KK Chatram police have registered a case about the accident and an investigation is underway.
