Actor-turned-politician Vijay on Thursday, 22 August, unveiled the party flag at the TVK (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai, marking a significant moment for the political party.
Vijay, who is aiming to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, launched his party in February 2024.
Alongside the flag, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief Vijay also released their party anthem.

After reaching the party headquarters, Vjay and other party members pledged to uphold equality for all living beings, work towards equal opportunities for everyone, and act as champions of unity, brotherhood, religious harmony, and equality.
They also pledged to follow the path of democracy, secularism, and social justice, and to serve the people with dedication.
The pledge further read, “We will always appreciate the fighters who fought and sacrificed their life for the liberation of our country and countless soldiers who fought tirelessly for the rights of our people from Tamil soil…I will remove the differences in the name of caste, religion, gender, and place of birth, create awareness among the people and strive for equal opportunities and equal rights for all. I solemnly affirm that I will uphold the principle of equality for all living beings.”

Further speaking at the event, Vijay stating that he will work for the betterment and development of Tamil Nadu, said, “I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are on for it and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I unveiled our party’s flag today.”
However, fans were not allowed to attend the event. Only party members, administration, and media personnel were permitted.
Ending his speech, Vijay thanked his parents, for attending the event.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, 21 August, Vijay said, “It is a great blessing if every day is a new direction and a new force in history. 22 August, 2024 is the day that God and nature have given us as such a boon. It is the day when the flag, the main symbol of our Tamil Nadu Victory Club, will be introduced. Working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu, we will introduce our heroic flag, the victory flag, which will become the symbol of our state, tomorrow at our headquarters secretariat and release the association flag song. I am pleased to announce that we are hoisting the club flag.”
He added, “Our flag will fly across the country starting tomorrow. Tamil Nadu will be better from now on.”
