Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who is currently admitted to Apollo Hospital after a spell of dizziness during his morning walk, may not personally meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the PM’s two‑day visit to the state.
Instead, Stalin said he has prepared a petition with various requests and instructed the Chief Secretary to hand it over to the prime minister on his behalf.
In his X post, he mentioned DMK leader T Thenarasu will formally present the petition. Despite being in hospital, Stalin has continued reviewing petitions and issuing directions.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit includes the inauguration of development projects worth over ₹4,800 crore, seen as significant ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The state capital has been decked up with posters, hoardings and BJP flags to mark the occasion.
