TRB Rajaa said the project would significantly reduce India’s dependence on imports in the critical electronics and precision manufacturing segment.

Synopsis: Further speaking of the investment, TRB Rajaa said, “This project will see an investment of ₹525 crore and create employment opportunities for around 2,000 people. The facility will manufacture the full range of micro-fasteners for both domestic supply and exports, primarily to Europe and the USA.”

Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa on Wednesday, 4 February, announced that Sweden-based fastener major Bulten Group, through its Indian arm PSM Fasteners India, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to set up a new manufacturing facility at Oragadam.

Sharing the news, the minister wrote on X, “Fasten your Fastners it’s MoU time🔩!!! Another global manufacturing leader chooses #TamilNadu. Bulten Group, through its Indian arm PSM Fasteners India, has signed an MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a new fastners manufacturing facility in Oragadam.”

Further speaking of the investment, TRB Rajaa said, “This project will see an investment of ₹525 crore and create employment opportunities for around 2,000 people. The facility will manufacture the full range of micro-fasteners for both domestic supply and exports, primarily to Europe and the USA.”

He said the project would significantly reduce India’s dependence on imports in the critical electronics and precision manufacturing segment, adding that major customers would include leading electronics manufacturers.

He added, “With over 150 years of global expertise, Bulten’s decision reinforces Tamil Nadu’s strength as a trusted destination for high-precision manufacturing, deep supplier ecosystems, and export-oriented industry. Under the leadership of  CM MK Stalin, we continue to attract global companies that bring technology, jobs, and long-term industrial capability to Tamil Nadu !”
