Synopsis: Chief Secretary N Sai Kumar has issued a circular directing all government departments to prominently display the WhatsApp helpline number on their official websites to improve public awareness and accessibility.

The Tamil Nadu government has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp helpline number, 94981 80936, to enable the public to report incidents of bribery and corruption in government offices.

Chief Secretary N Sai Kumar has issued a circular directing all government departments to prominently display the WhatsApp helpline number on their official websites to improve public awareness and accessibility.

Departments have also been instructed to provide a direct link to the website of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) alongside the helpline, allowing citizens to easily register complaints related to corruption and bribery.

The move is aimed at strengthening anti-corruption measures and encouraging the public to report instances of graft through accessible digital platforms.
