Page Industries, which owns brands like Jockey and Speedo, will invest ₹290 crore to set up two facilities in Telangana.

These two facilities will reportedly manufacture garments that include sportswear and athleisure wear, and are expected to provide employment to a total of 7,000 local youngsters.

The announcement was made after a top management team from the company led by Managing Director V Ganesh met Telangana Industries Minister KTR at Pragathi Bhavan on Wednesday, 16 November.

The first of the two proposed locations of Page Industries is the Whitegold Spintex Park Facility at Ibrahimpatnam.

It will reportedly be a 1.5 lakh sq ft plug-and-play facility built by Whitegold Spintex Park and leased to Page Industries.

This facility is expected to provide jobs to 3,000 local youngsters.

The second proposed location is in Mulugu in Siddipet, where Page Industries will reportedly build its own facility in a 25-acre parcel.

This facility is expected to provide employment to 4,000 local youngsters.

KTR welcomed Page Industries to Telangana and assured its officials of all possible cooperation from the state government.
