YSRCP’s tipper lorry driver candidate sparks political slugfest

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu mocked the candidate for being a lorry driver, while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy defended his educational background.

The YSRCP fielding a tipper driver, Mannepakula Veeranjaneyulu, from the Singanamala Assembly constituency has sparked a political slugfest in Andhra Pradesh. TDP’s N Chandrababu Naidu said the “tipper lorry driver” couldn’t even put in a signature. YRSCP said Veeranjaneyulu is a postgraduate in Economics, more educated than Naidu. TDP accused the YSRCP of leveraging Veeranjaneyulu’s “poor background” to win sympathy.
