The TDP on Wednesday, 17 April, alleged that the ruling YSRCP is “sheltering” anti-Dalit leaders in its party by giving them tickets to contest the polls, citing the case of Thota Trimurthulu who recently got a jail term for tonsuring Dalit youth. TDP spokesperson Tirunagari Jyothsna alleged the selection of ruling party candidates again “exposes” its anti-Dalit policy and behaviour.
