Yamini Aiyar steps down as chief of Centre for Policy Research

Replacing her is Dr Srinivas Chokkakula, a senior fellow at CPR and Union Ministry of Jal Shakti research chair.

Yamini Aiyar, head of the premier public policy think-tank, Centre for Policy Research, announced, on Tuesday, 26 March, her departure from the institution. She is the daughter of veteran Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar. Her exit follows the Centre cancelling the CPR’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act licence in January, alleging violation of norms while receiving funds from foreign sources.
