With monsoon comes Dengue: Telangana reports 886 cases

In Telangana, the monsoon has been in the state for only the last two weeks, but 886 cases of dengue have been reported as of 22 June, 2024, according to the state health officials.

As of 22 June, 886 cases of dengue have been reported since the monsoon started in Telangana. In 2022, Telangana reported 8,972 dengue cases, higher than the 7,894 cases reported in 2023. However, the state did see one dengue-related death in 2023. The most important prevention is to protect oneself from mosquito bites and stop breeding grounds.
