Journal of Medical Evidence (JME) has published an article on reasons why Tamil Nadu opposes the NEET exam. The article has explained the long-standing issue of Tamil Nadu opposing the test. It points out that high participation costs, proliferation of coaching centres, mismatched objectives, implications on rural and economically disadvantaged students, gender disparity, stress and mental health issues as key issues.
