BJP Rajya Sabha member K Laxman on Saturday, 27 April, asked why Congress did not think of conducting a caste census when it was in power for over five decades. Replying to a query on BJP’s alleged double standard, he said the Nehru-Gandhi family was in power for long and asked why Congress did not think of conducting a caste census then.
