The decision came in the wake of a Cabinet meeting on 6 April last year, following recommendations on rationalisation of government bodies.
Food and Nutrition Board.
The Food and Nutrition Board has been shut down by the Women and Child Development (WCD) Ministry as part of rationalisation of government entities. The board is responsible for providing technical and logistical support for the functioning of community nutrition programmes. It maintained 43 community food and nutrition extension units (CFNEUs) across the country.
