Water woes: Bengaluru hoteliers mull using disposable materials

Using disposable materials will be costly and the expenditure will be passed on to the customers.

Hoteliers in water-scarce Bengaluru are mulling the use of disposable glasses and plates to tide over the crisis. Hoteliers’ Association president Chandrashekar Hebbar said 90 percent of the water goes for washing utensils, which goes down the drain. He said it would be a costly affair but the expenditure on the disposable materials would be passed on to the customers.
