Senior Karnataka BJP leader and seven-time MP Ramesh Jigajinagi voiced dissatisfaction over his exclusion from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet. A prominent Dalit figure, he criticised the party’s preference for upper caste members in cabinet appointments over Dalits. He said that despite the opposition from the Dalit community for aligning with the BJP, he had joined the party.
