Vitamin B12 supplement contains cyanide? Don’t be alarmed

Indian doctors have dismissed as alarmist a western doctor’s statement that cyanocobalamin used in Vitamin B12 supplements contains cyanide. These supplements are largely prescribed in India and some brands contain cynacobalamin, having a cyanide molecule. However, it’s miniscule and rapidly excreted by the body, docors say, adding, it is also present in minuscule amounts in tapioca, flaxseed and apples.
