Violence, clashes and kidnaps mar Andhra simultaneous polls

The polling is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm in the Andhra Pradesh, barring a few places where it will conclude one or two hours earlier.

YRSCP MLA and a voter attack each other

Monday’s polling in Andhra Pradesh was marred by violence, attacks, and kidnaps. EC officials said three TDP polling agents, allegedly kidnapped in Chittoor, were rescued. TDP and YSRCP workers clashed in the Chejarla Mandal, Nellore, Palnadu and Macherla. In Tenali, a fight broke out between a voter and YSRCP MLA Annabathina Shiva Kumar for the latter skipping the queue.
